Davis led Long Zhan and Clay past the three special military vehicles and to the innermost part of the cabin, near the cockpit.

The space in this area was quite large, and despite being filled with numerous bundles of supplies, there was still ample room to move around.

On both sides, close to the cabin walls, there were rows of seats equipped with straps for resting during long flights.

In the middle of the two rows of seats, there were seven sets of packed and sorted backpacks and parcels.

Each set had a specific number, clearly prepared according to each member's personal requests and needs.

"These two sets of equipment are prepared for you. The one on the left contains the battlefield first aid kit, while the other set has some miscellaneous items that may come in handy during an emergency.. How you allocate them is up to you. If you need anything else, just come and tell me, I’ll be outside."

After pointing at the two sets of equipment, Davis turned and left to continue counting supplies outside the cabin.

"I majored in battlefield first aid, so I'll take the left set, and you can have the other one. It's rare to meet a logistics sergeant who's this easy to talk to, so we should check the equipment before we depart to see if there's anything else we need."

All Navy SEALs are required to major in a field and take an elective as a backup. Long Zhan majored in battlefield first aid purely to increase his chances of survival while out there in the field.

With a backpack full of first aid supplies, he could immediately provide first aid in the event of an accident during an operation."Long, you're really too cunning."

Clay looked at the backpack of the other set, which had a large breaching hammer hanging on the left and a portable hydraulic cutter on the right, with a folding ladder strapped to the front. His almost burst into tears.

If the outside of this backpack is so exaggerated, one can imagine that the contents on the inside won't be light either.

All in all, it weighed at least 70 pounds!

If it were distributed based on the principle that those who can do more should do more, it would obviously be more suitable for the big guy, Long Zhan to carry this heavy backpack, but unfortunately, this is a special forces unit.

"The lowest-ranked personnel do the heaviest work, this is a tradition in the SEALs. Besides, I am a genuine professional in this field, haha." Long Zhan not only showed no sympathy but instead laughed at Clay's misfortune.

Only E5-ranked Clay couldn't refute this and had no choice but to become a laborer, squatting down to start checking the supplies.

As the world's strongest naval special forces, DEVGRU's individual equipment and protective gear for operations also meet world-class standards.

Typically, the equipment and supplies for each operation are divided into two categories, combat equipment and reserve supplies.

Logistics soldiers will pack them separately, with all reserve supplies stored in backpacks, making it easier for soldiers to carry them during operations.

The combat equipment is placed in specially designed travel bags, usually carried by hand on the way to the mission site, or if airdropped, it will be hung in front until the operation begins.

Long Zhan was already familiar with how to inspect his equipment.

After all, he had two years of overseas deployment experience. Although he was just a newcomer in the U.S. Navy’s most elite force, DEVGRU, he would be considered a veteran special forces operator in any other military unit.

For now, the matter of backup supplies could be set aside. The combat equipment, which directly relates to their life and death, is what required the most attention.

Long Zhan first opened the special travel bag and looked at the expensive special equipment inside, once again admiring DEVGRU's strong financial backing.

There were infrared strobe lights for outdoor nighttime coordinated operations and friend-or-foe identification Velcro.

Body armor, personal gear, ceramic plates, and combat uniforms, all in the same AOR1 desert digital camouflage color scheme.

There were also GP/NVG series four-lens night vision goggles and AN-PEQ IR laser indicators that provide excellent visibility for nighttime operations.

For daytime combat, there were Eotech G33+Exps3 holographic sights, HK-MP7 submachine gun, an M79 grenade launcher, a Glock 19 handgun, a short-handled bayonet and more.

In addition, there were auxiliary gas detectors, satellite radios, custom noise-canceling headphones, and other equipment that considered every possible scenario.

While other units might be armed to the teeth, DEVGRU’s equipment was the most complete.

Using such comprehensive personal combat equipment, Long Zhan was indeed experiencing something new, and it would be a lie to say he wasn't excited.

However, regardless of how luxurious the equipment was and how excited he felt, he still needed to address the issues at hand.

After all, limited by personal functions and specialties, the best isn't necessarily the most practical or suitable, it needs to fit.

From the perspective of a medic...

The HK-MP7 submachine gun as the main weapon, paired with a Glock 19 pistol for close combat, and the M79 grenade launcher for long-range firepower, this configuration was indeed quite good.

Unfortunately, due to his large physique and excellent battlefield judgment ability, Long Zhan was practically an ideal candidate for a support fire team.

During his two years in SEAL Team Two, Long Zhan had always held a combat position in the fire support team and was accustomed to providing fire support for the lead assault troops while stationed in the rear with a machine gun.

Now, giving him a submachine gun for close combat felt to Long Zhan, who was used to heavy firepower, like handing him a water gun!

No matter how he looked at it, it felt awkward.

"I hope Davis can find an improved version of the M249, Mk 46 or Mk 48 will do. I’m used to carrying a light machine gun, so I’ll be fine with any of the above."

Long Zhan silently thought about the weapons he needed to get next and began to inspect the nearly one-meter-high rucksack.

As a carrier for backup supplies, the rucksack contained some backup items that didn't require as meticulous of an inspection as the combat equipment did.

Basically, it was enough to know what was inside and have a general idea.

Therefore, checking the larger and heavier rucksack took less time than the travel bag.

After checking his two bags, Long Zhan prepared to find Davis to swap his main weapon and also grab the corresponding accessory modules and ammunition.

Seeing Clay still inspecting, he casually asked, "I've already sorted mine out, there's nothing major, just the main weapon that I need to replace. I need to find Davis to get something that packs a little more of a punch. Do you want to come with me?"

"No, thanks!"

Clay patted the obviously modified short-barreled HK416 beside him, equipped with various modules, and said, "This guy is way better than what I used in the assault team. It must have been modified by a top-notch armorer, I really like it.”"Alright, that's too bad. Looks like I'll have to go meet the black beauty alone."

"Good luck, I’m rooting for you. Once you get her, the bar girl will be mine."

"Now that you mention it, I've suddenly changed my mind. I still think the bar girl is more appealing, so you still have no chance, haha."

"You really are a bastard!"

"Haha..."
