The instructors and captains were chatting animatedly upstairs, while the scene setup below proceeded at an equally swift pace.

When the setup crew evacuated the field, leaving only the hooded Long Zhan in the assessment area, everyone fell silent in unison.

All eyes turned downward in unison, focusing on today’s final protagonist, Long Zhan.

"Begin!"

With Instructor Adam's command, the black hood was instantly lifted.

The first scenario assessment began!

The moment Long Zhan regained his vision, he opted for the faster observation method, rotating his pupils without turning his head, to scan the 180-degree view in front of him.

This unique, rapid observation method bought Long Zhan an extra 0.5 seconds.

He used that precise half-second to pivot his body quickly, his gaze following the gun's movement as he spun to check the 180 degrees behind him.

This one detailed micro-adjustment clearly put him a notch above Clay, who had simply stood in place and waited.

As the old Chinese saying goes: A master's skill is revealed with just one move.

The series of flawless, minute movements displayed by Long Zhan in that opening second of the assessment stunned the assembled spectators.

To use internet slang: They were all "floored."

From start to finish, they never imagined that a 100-plus-kilogram behemoth like Long Zhan could operate with such finesse, his body displaying such nimbleness.

His rapid reaction time was an astonishing 0.1 seconds.

Even Bravo Team’s quickest-reacting sniper, Ray, known for his speed and agility, could only throw his hands up in astonishment. He looked completely baffled.

Compared to Jason, Ray, and Malcolm, who were seeing Long Zhan's assessment for the first time and were thoroughly impressed, Adam was the calmest of the group. After a month of S&T course training, he'd long since transitioned from the initial awe to the routine acceptance.

He singled out Long Zhan as a "monster"!It was normal for monsters to be different from ordinary people, this made sense to him.

The discussion on the elevated walkway grew louder due to Long Zhan's exceptional performance, to the point where it could be heard clearly in the examination room below.

Normally, this would disrupt a trainee's focus and affect their performance.

Fortunately, Long Zhan was the type who, once immersed in combat, threw himself in completely, maximizing his abilities to the fullest.

Unbothered by the exclamations from above, he completed his scan and swiftly entered a state of high alert.

This was a skill honed from his mercenary days, where they were forced to be mere cannon-fodder. Their employers never treated them like people.

A single mistake could cost them their lives, so they had to treat every mission as if it were their last.Bang! The door to the left was kicked open, and a man in a turban entered, gun in hand.Pop~Pop~Pop~

Long Zhan, with his flawless Mozambique shooting technique, fired three rounds in under a second and dropped the armed target right at the doorway.Since he fired so quickly that he had time to spare, Long Zhan casually added a follow-up shot to the body on the ground.

Just as he finished, a sound came from straight ahead of him. Another gunman in a turban charged in from the doorway. Since the door was set to open, he didn't need to kick it, leaving even less time to react to the trainee.

When Long Zhan saw the gunman, he had already rushed into the room.Their gazes locked in mid-air, less than three meters apart, they almost simultaneously raised their weapons to shoot.Pop~Pop~Pop~What echoed were three suppressed shots, not the harsh rattle of an AKM.

Clearly, Long Zhan, holding the advantage of shooting from a static position, bolstered by his more solid and superior fundamentals, outperformed the role-playing militant.

After waiting for a few seconds, Long Zhan fired another shot at the corpse directly in front of him, raised his right hand, and shouted, "Clear!"

The command to reset was immediately received from above, and the familiar hood slowly descended from above. The scene setters began to enter once again.Faced with unidentified individuals appearing from two directions, the trainee needed to identify and act in the shortest time possible.

That was the requirement of the first scenario.

Long Zhan's performance was comparable to everyone else's, but it was clear from the discussion among the spectators that they were even more satisfied with his performance.Their satisfaction lay in his micro-movements, which were executed better than any of the previous trainees.

In certain aspects, he held his own even when compared to DEVGRU's veteran Tier 1 operators with over a decade of special operations experience

The spectators found it hard to imagine that a Navy SEAL with only two years of experience could pull off such a feat.It was so smooth, so sophisticated.

Unable to comprehend it through personal experience, they could only conclude that Long Zhan was born for this line of work.

Jason had the strongest reaction among them.

Though he'd come specifically for Long Zhan, regarding the various tales Sonny had spun about him over the past few months, his curiosity and skepticism had outweighed any excitement he might have had when he first heard about him.

However, after watching it live, witnessing Long Zhan's impeccable performance, he was honestly starting to feel a little moved.   But for now, it was just a feeling. Whether Long Zhan would eventually join Bravo Team depended on his subsequent performance in the assessment.Excelling in a single area alone wasn't good enough to make it into DEVGRU.

What intrigued Jason even more was that Long Zhan's weapon-handling stance was identical to his own.

In both cases, they maintained their rifle's line of sight, aiming with both eyes.

This prevented the scope from being level with their eyes, obstructing their field of view and allowing them to maximize how much they could see.

They kept their arms holding the rifle close to their chest, using their upper body as a base, creating a stable triangle with their hands and rifle. This ensured the most stable support structure while minimizing body movement, resulting in the greatest possible range of movement.

It was like comparing an inner circle to an outer one, the inner circle takes far less time to complete a full rotation.

This unique grip wasn't actually a rifle CQB quick-reaction stance, but rather a variation of a CQC pistol shooting system, the C.A.R (Center Axis Re-Lock) system.
