The S&T course had a unique training format, demanding that recruits adapt on the fly to various simulated scenarios, with no single correct way to handle them.

Special training instructor Adam had to personally oversee each training session in order to ensure its quality.

Lower-level instructors weren't qualified to make judgements.

Since Adam couldn't be in two places at once, only one trainee could train at a time, preventing all the new recruits from training at once.

Due to this limitation, the new recruits' training model had been altered.

Gone was the Phase 1 platoon-based approach where everyone trained together. They were now split into two 15-man squads, each conducting separate training sessions.

For example, in the morning, one platoon would conduct PT training while the other conducted S&T.

Then in the afternoon, they would switch.

Having already survived the more challenging PLT testing system, the trainees didn’t take the PT training seriously, treating it simply as a form of physical conditioning.

The new recruits, including Long Zhan, were more curious about the newly introduced S&T course.

This curiosity wasn't due to a lack of familiarity with the S&T course. The new recruits were all experienced Navy SEALs, and this training was fundamental to the SEALs, something they were already incredibly familiar with.

Rather, they were curious about what Green Team, the gatekeepers of the elite naval operators, would add to it.

The special training instructor divided the remaining 30 trainees into two groups. The temporary platoon that Long Zhan and Clay were in, had dibs on Green Team's first S&T session, and they were all taken to the indoor close combat training center.

In Green Team, it was known as the Killing House!

S&T was a subset of CQB anyway, so training here came as no surprise to Long Zhan.

Green Team's CQB facility was massive, spanning over a thousand square meters, structured similarly to the barracks, like a large warehouse. The interior was divided into two separate training rooms.

The left side featured railroad ties stacked into long corridors riddled with obstacles, flanked by square rooms on either side, illuminated solely by dangling wire-hung lamps.

The training room has no roof, only several elevated walkways, offering a bird’s eye view of every corner down below.

It was clear that this model was supposed to simulate the interior of a building, tailor made for indoor special operations training, the bread and butter of special operations, CQB (Close Quarters Battle)!

Those elevated walkways provided prime vantage points for instructors and assistants to clearly observe the performance of the trainees.

The training ground to the right also has an elevated walkway, but the layout below was completely different.

All training facilities, including the walls, were equipped with wheels, allowing for quick reconfiguration to create any setting they wanted.

Conference rooms, offices, bathrooms, bedrooms...

No problem!

Any specific training requirement, from a dance hall to a terrorist organization's core base, could be easily created.

And this reconfigurable room was where Long Zhan and his team would conduct their S&T training.

Over the course of the next month, the remaining trainees would train here every day in various scenarios, testing their ability to respond to different situations.

"As expected of DEVGRU's Green Team, with the amount of money they have at their disposal, they can do whatever they want."

A training room that could be quickly reconfigured was incredibly expensive, and Long Zhan, seeing it for the first time, couldn't help but sigh in admiration.

Green Team's training pace was incredibly fast, and the trainees weren't exactly newbies. They all knew the S&T drill inside out!

Instructor Adam wasted no time on chit-chat. Once they assembled, he immediately directed the trainees, guided by the assistants, to gear up with training weapons. The ordnance sergeant had already taken up position and opened the adjacent armory, allowing the trainees to line up at the window and receive their rifles.

Green Team's S&T training rifles were M4A1s, custom-made by weapons contractor Daniel Defense, equipped with a UTM bolt conversion kit.

While the normal bolt ejector pin is in the center, the UTM conversion kit's ejector pin was offset to the left, or in other words, crooked!

If a normal bullet were loaded, the gun with the conversion kit would be unable to fire because the primer is located in the center of the cartridge base.

This prevented any mix-ups with the type of ammo used and any fatal accidents during training.

The cartridge used with this conversion kit has the primer located on the edge of the base, not the center. The base is engraved with the letters GD, and the bullet is also painted blue.

Long Zhan had used it in the SEALs before, it came from another contractor, General Dynamics, custom-made specialized ammunition for SEAL training to pair with the UTM kits.

A rifle and a magazine, that was all the equipment needed for today’s training. There were no infrared night vision goggles, laser pointers, or tactical flashlights, from this, Long Zhan deduced that today’s simulated training scenario would definitely not be a nighttime operation.

After receiving their weapons, all the trainees rested in the open area outside the armory, awaiting the order to enter the training room one by one.

Maybe eager to see if the lone T0-rated Long Zhan was just a dumb brute or a giant with the brains to match, the first person that the special training instructor Adam called in was Long Zhan, the standout in this training class.

“I get to go first? Nice.”

Long Zhan, who was used to being the first, did not feel pressured because he was the first one to enter. Instead, he was stimulated and excited by the prospect.

His eyes gleamed with eager anticipation.

The training room’s view was blocked by a movable wall from the outside, so that no one coming in could know what they were about to face and prepare in advance.

As he imagined what kind of daytime operation it would be, the assistant gave him the signal and he entered the training room alone.Up on the walkway, Adam and the two instructors there with him immediately locked eyes on the incoming Long Zhan.
