In a world where the mysterious power known as “Emblem Arts” exists, there was a boy named Ban, born with the Asura emblem, a crest feared as the most disastrous in history.
The one and only ability the Asura emblem possessed was that it would inevitably bring about destruction.

One day, a mysterious sorcerer, seeking the power of destruction, attacked Ban.
In that assault, Ban lost those most precious to him and was trapped in an otherworldly dimension completely cut off from the present world.

Sinking into the swamp of despair that fate had laid before him, he longed for death, yet the seething rage within him refused to allow it.

Enduring the long span of 999 years, grinding his blade for revenge, Ban finally awakened the true destructive power hidden within the Asura emblem.
With it, he shattered the otherworldly dimension and returned to the present world.
